Sablon Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Sablon iPhone app (“Sablon”, “the app”), published by Farid Rehila, sole proprietor, Nyon (VD), Switzerland (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

1. The service

Sablon is an iPhone app (iOS 16 or later) that opens the social networks Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook, X and Reddit inside the app, without certain formats: Reels, Shorts, the “For You” feed, Explore, suggestions and ads.

Sablon offers in particular:

the lock: the official app of each chosen network is locked with Apple’s Screen Time. Reopening it counts as a break, paid for in “sand” according to the mode you choose: a daily budget, sand earned through activities (breathing, reading, focus, push-ups or squats counted by the camera), or free;
time rules (for example at night or during work);
a daily time goal and statistics.

Sand is a unit of measurement internal to the app. It has no monetary value and cannot be bought, exchanged or refunded.

We may change, add or remove features.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Sablon. If you are a minor, you must have the consent of your legal guardian, who remains responsible for the use of the app and for purchases.

The lock requires you to allow Sablon to use Screen Time on your iPhone. Without this permission, the app can still be used, but cannot lock the networks’ apps.

Sablon is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook, X or Reddit, or their publishers, including Meta Platforms, ByteDance, Google, Snap, X Corp. and Reddit. The names and logos of these services belong to their respective owners and are used only to refer to them.

When you open a network in Sablon, you are using that network’s service: your account, your content and your use remain subject to its own terms of use and privacy policy. You alone are responsible for complying with those terms. Sablon only displays these services as published by their publishers, with certain elements hidden.

4. Free and Sablon Pro

Sablon is free for one network. Sablon Pro gives access to all networks and all filters. Sablon Pro is offered as a yearly subscription, with a 7-day free trial, or as a weekly subscription. Prices are shown in the app and on the App Store before purchase, in your currency.

Payment: charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase or, for the trial, at the end of the trial.
Automatic renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the same length and at the same price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the period.
Free trial: unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the 7 days, the trial converts into a paid yearly subscription. A trial is granted only once per Apple account.
Cancellation: in your iPhone settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or on the App Store subscriptions page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep Sablon Pro until then.
Refunds: handled exclusively by Apple, under its terms. We cannot refund a purchase ourselves. You can make a request at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Price changes: we may change prices. A change applies at the earliest at the next renewal, and Apple informs you in advance under its rules.

The rights granted to you by the mandatory law of your country, in particular as a consumer, remain unaffected.

5. Licence

Sablon is distributed through the App Store. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the app. These terms supplement it; in case of conflict, Apple’s agreement prevails on the matters it covers.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Sablon on Apple devices that you own or control, for private and non-commercial purposes.

6. Permitted use

You agree not to:

copy, modify, decompile or disassemble the app, except to the extent expressly permitted by law;
circumvent its technical mechanisms or use it in a way that disrupts its operation;
use it for unlawful purposes or in breach of a third-party network’s terms.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its name, logo, texts, illustrations and code are protected and belong to us, or are licensed to us. These terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

8. Availability and limits of the filters

Social networks regularly change their pages. We do not guarantee that every filter works at all times or that it hides every targeted element. A network may also change its service, restrict access or stop working in Sablon, without us being able to prevent it.

The lock relies on Screen Time, an Apple service. We do not guarantee that it works without interruption, in particular after an iOS update or if you withdraw the permission.

The app is provided as is and as available, with no guarantee that it is free of errors or uninterrupted, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage caused by slight negligence, or for indirect or consequential damage, such as loss of profit or loss of data. Our liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for injury to life or physical integrity, remains unaffected.

We are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of third-party networks.

The activities that let you earn sand, including push-ups and squats, are optional. You do them at your own pace and at your own risk.

10. Personal data

How we process your data is described in our privacy policy.

11. Ending use

You can stop using Sablon at any time by deleting the app. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription: cancel it in the App Store settings.

We may suspend or stop providing the app, in whole or in part. If you seriously breach these terms, we may terminate your licence.

12. Changes to the terms

We may change these terms. The date at the top of the page shows the last update. If there is a significant change, we will tell you in the app or on this website before it takes effect. If you keep using the app after that date, the new terms apply. If you do not accept them, you can stop using the app and cancel your subscription.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

The place of jurisdiction is Nyon (VD), Switzerland. If you are a consumer, the places of jurisdiction and mandatory consumer protection rules provided by the law of your country of residence remain unaffected.

If any provision of these terms is invalid, the others remain in force.
